Vaping for the first time is not an easy thing to do and understandably so. Any person who is completely new to the idea of vaping e-liquids through an electronic cigarette will have a number of concerns in his or her head. Most of these concerns stem from the lies, the myths and the misconceptions that are spread by the critics and haters of e-cigarettes. Once you get past these misconceptions, you will find it much easier to make vaping a daily part of your life. That being said, there will be one lingering thought in your mind that will bother you every time you pick the e-cigarette and get ready for a wonderful session of vaping. Is the nicotine level in your e-liquid a little too high for you?

Why Should You Be Concerned About the Nicotine?

The presence of nicotine in the e-liquid does not concern every single vaper. In fact, smokers who have turned vapers are the ones who are usually bothered by the level of nicotine in their e-liquid. For those of you who are not aware, nicotine is the specific chemical substance found in cigarettes that keeps smokers hooked to the product. In other words, nicotine is responsible for causing people to become addicted to smoking. This leads many people to believe that nicotine is also the reason why chain smokers end up having their lungs damage. This is not completely correct. The tar and other harmful chemical substances contained within the tobacco of the cigarette lead to lung damage. If the lungs are exposed to these chemicals for a very long period of time, then the person becomes highly likely to suffer from lung cancer. The risk of cancer is not associated with nicotine. Despite that, a lot of smokers turned vapers are apprehensive about the amount of nicotine that goes into their e-liquids. Perhaps, they are in desperate need to shake off the addiction that had nearly killed them when they were smokers.

Nicotine and Health Complications

Contrary to what the critics have to say, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that nicotine causes permanent health damage in an individual. As long as you are vaping the nicotine in e-liquids and not smoking the one in tobacco, you do not have to be worried about facing severe health complications. That being said, there are people who are still quite sceptical about nicotine’s effects on the body. It is quite difficult for people to believe that a major component in a killer like the cigarette can actually be quite harmless for the body when used in another product. Once the human mind builds up a certain perception towards a product, it is extremely hard to alter that negative perception into a positive one. If you are one of those people who believe that nicotine is highly detrimental for the health, then you will be delighted to know that vaping nicotine through e-liquids can actually offer plenty of health benefits. For example, an intake of nicotine can bolster your concentration and improve your academic or professional performance for a temporary period of time. This is partly the reason why smokers can’t let go of cigarettes, because they are used to nicotine giving them the concentration boost that they so desperately need.

Are You Going to Give Up Vaping?

Gradually lowering the nicotine level in e-liquids is highly recommended for people who are going to give up vaping at a certain point in time. Why would anyone want to give up vaping? As incredible as it feels to be a part of the vaping community, some people simply use e-cigarettes as a way to quit smoking. They are not inclined to become a lifelong vaper. Using the vaping products to them is like using one of the many nicotine substitutes out there in the market. If you happen to be such a person, then you are advised to slowly lower the nicotine level and let your body grow accustomed to the absence of nicotine.

Are You Experiencing Difficulties?

The human body can withstand nicotine up to a certain amount. The level of nicotine that can be consumed without someone’s health or comfort being compromised differs from one individual to the other. If you are experiencing headaches, nausea, heightened heart rate or blood pressure and a harsh chest hit, then we strongly suggest that you lower the nicotine strength in your e-liquid.

Are You Trying to Extract More Flavour from the E-Liquid?

Some people are simply looking for a way to get the most out of the e-liquid flavour. There are quite a few ways to achieve this, including steeping. E-liquid connoisseurs believe that the flavour in products with lower levels of nicotine is much stronger. Hence, if you want to experience a more intense flavour, you should lower the nicotine strength.
